The Norwegian Comfort Story Celebrates 40 years of sharing comfort worldwide.
Sears Morton are the exclusive distributer of Stressless furniture products in the ACT.
Manager, Tony Ayers reports; "since 1971 our Nordic friends have pushed the boundaries of Comfort/Quality & Style in their pursuit of excellence."
Stressless is Scandinavia? largest furniture manufacture & has won many design awards with all their furniture produced in Norway in an effort to maintain the highest standards in workmanship.
"This is a strong standing principle they hold in the development of their entire range. Indeed they created a world first, in basing all the manufacturing within one huge factory." said Ayres.
The construction of all frames, springing systems & fire retardant foams for all chairs & sofas are produced in a state of the art factory by a fjord in the north west of Norway & the only outsourcing required is for the upholstery cover, with strict standards applied to accepted leathers & fabrics.
Sears Morton have now been selling Stressless for 17 years becoming the 1st dealership in Australia in 1993.
Tony Ayres tells that "to say it has been a pleasure over the years to help people discover the secrets of personal comfort, would be an understatement."
"Displaying the various designs from Stressless and there extensive collection has been quite challenging", according to Ayres. This is evident particularly when you consider that the overall product range is based on a principle that all chairs are available in up to three sizes, to suit different body shapes and sizes. In conjunction with Stressless's 40th year, Sears Morton are introducing an upgrade to their Fyshwick showroom gallery with additional lounges & the installation of an interactive computer in which you can select leather or fabric covers, matching them with timber stains allowing you to view colour combinations in store.
